Petek Şirin has been a part of Özyeğin University's academic community since 2010, specializing in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) in SCOLA. She also serves as an Aviation English trainer and examiner. Petek holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Hacettepe University, an MSc in TESOL from Aston University, and CELTA & DELTA qualifications from Cambridge University. She completed her second master’s degree in aviation management with high honors from Bahçeşehir University in 2024 and is now pursuing her PhD in Business Management at Maltepe University.
